Registration Information - Registration for 2025-2026 is Open!

Welcome to the St. Rose of Lima Religious Education Program. This year we have expanded our class offerings as follows:

• Sunday mornings from 9:30 am – 10:45 am for Grades 1 through 7
• Monday afternoons from 3:45 pm – 5 pm for Grades 1 through 6
• Monday evenings from 6 pm – 7:15 pm for Grades 7 and 8
• Homeschool program for Grades 1 through 8 (requires participation as a family in six approved parish or homeschool events and three parent in-person group meetings).

        
*Please note:  The availability of our Sunday morning classes will be based on obtaining a catechist and aide for each class. Also, any classes with fewer than six registered students by August 15 will be rolled into another timeslot for that grade. Notification of student class placement will be sent to all parents on Monday, August 18. 

**Tuition is due at the time of registration. Students will not be placed in a class until tuition is paid. If financial assistance is needed, please contact Peg Hensler in the Religious Education office to make arrangements.

For students entering 1st grade and transfer students, please provide a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate if not baptized at St. Rose, Emmaus/Sacred Heart (Mt Ephraim), or St. Gregory in Magnolia.
 
Students who miss classes will be required to make up their work. Parents of students with excessive absences will be contacted and asked to meet with the Director of Religious Education and in some cases the pastor to determine a plan to ensure that all grade-level requirements are met.

IMPORTANT SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION INFORMATION:

Reception of First Holy Communion and Confirmation requires 2 years of sacramental preparation. 

First Holy Communion: 

• Children normally prepare for this Sacrament during their 1st and 2nd Grade years of faith formation and are expected to continue their faith formation during grades 3-8. Any child missing primary grade school years of formation 1-8 will need to make up for missed faith formation time.
• Children in our 2^nd grade Homeschool program will be required to participate in all in-person sacramental preparation events and activities for First Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist.

Confirmation: 

• Children normally prepare for this Sacrament during their 7th and 8th grade years of faith formation and are confirmed by the Bishop in the Fall of their 9th Grade year. 
• Children in our 7th and 8th grade Homeschool program will be required to attend all retreats and activities as well as complete all requirements for Confirmation. Parents must attend all parent meetings and required parent events.
